Connecting in Community

Faith has been formed through countless meals and conversations in Covenant Harbor’s Lodge since 1949. For 75 years, the Lodge has provided a place for laughter, singing, prayer and connection. As the most heavily used facility at Covenant Harbor, the Lodge is nearing the end of its useful life. While the campers and guests who gather there have thrived, the building has not. It’s time to create a new gathering space at camp.

The Dining Commons: A Fresh Vision

The Anchor of Covenant Harbor

Camp offers the kind of Christ-centered community that can’t be found on social media, in video games or in a confused society. That’s why Covenant Harbor is deepening its commitment to the flourishing of youth and adults. The Dining Commons will be the new anchor for programming, relationships, activity and community.

Thanks to generous lead donors, only about $1.2 million of the $8.1 million project remains to be raised. God is at work! Excitement is growing!

Planning for this new day

The Dining Commons does not include sleeping rooms as the Lodge does. The loss of the Lodge beds has been offset by the new Kishwauketoe Village and Twins. In total, Covenant Harbor has 41 more beds than it did just a few years ago.

“Our son talked all the way home and did not once ask for electronics. He told us about the kids, counselors, fun activities and amazing food. He had a blast and he and his friends are looking forward to next summer.”
